Thank you again for your prayers, kindness, and patience during my recent absences. Our family situation is improving, and we are very grateful for your continued prayers and support. Over the past couple of weeks I have also thought about our weekly parish programme, taking into account comments from parishioners as well as my own workload. I am pleased to say that Bishop Timothy has arranged for a priest to help us a little during the week. From 16th March, Fr Michael Miners will celebrate Mass and hear confessions each Monday. This means that the weekday Masses on Monday and Thursday will be swapped. Fr Michael will celebrate Mass on Mondays in Cannock. I will then celebrate Mass in Hednesford on Thursdays - at St Joseph’s School on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of term at 2:15pm, and on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays at 9:30am in the Church or Presbytery. Other weekday Masses remain unchanged. Mass intentions for Mondays and Thursdays will move with the Mass to the other parish. This may sound a little complicated, but the newsletter will make this clear I have also been listening to comments about the Saturday evening Mass. Many feel that the “new” time of 6pm is not working well. I am therefore proposing to move it back to 5pm from 22nd March. As always, comments, compliments, and complaints are welcome — your opinion matters.
